Do the plans need to be signed or sealed and if so by whom?

 

Yes, all plans need to be signed or sealed by the architect of record or PE if structural additions or modifications are made.  Fire alarm drawings must be sealed by a PE.

What is the fee for a Residential Permit:

 

$50 plus $1.50 per thousand dollars of the estimated construction cost

What is the fee for a Commercial Permit:

 

$100 plus $3.00 per thousand dollars of the estimated construction cost

Separate permits are required for the following:

 

Fire alarm systems

Site Development

Temporary occupancy permit

The permitting process

 

All permits must be applied for electronically.

Applying for building permits may be done  by clicking here Apply for Permits Online. If you don’t have access to the web, you can use the workstation in our lobby at 223 Henry Ave.

When you complete your application, print 2 copies and keep one for your records. Sign the second copy and submit with your plans. The application and plans are delivered to the administration office at:

223 Henry Ave
Manchester, MO 63011.

We will contact you when your permit has been approved.
